Approaches to regenerative finance, mapped
A browsable directory of 78 named approaches across 10 families, from screening and labelled debt to ownership redesign and Indigenous capital structures. Built for graduate students who need the map before the literature.
Select a family name for what defines it. Select a tile for detail.

How to read this
Each column is a family. Tile depth shows how many named approaches sit in that family; denser columns are denser fields, not denser evidence. The coloured left edge on a tile matches its column header.
Return-type pills filter by how capital is priced or repaid: market, below market, concessionary, contingent, non-market, grant, or conceptual. Search matches against name, family, and the short definition.
Detail lives in the drawer. The page body stays short on purpose so the directory remains the instrument.
02 · Method and limits
Method and limits
Approaches were named from primary institutional sources, field handbooks, and statute where a structure is legal rather than market practice. Naming is a desk choice: some practitioners would merge neighbouring tiles; others would split them.
Years mark an origin or a widely cited crystallisation, not a claim of invention. Figures inside practice notes carry their own dates. Link targets are institutional homepages chosen for durability rather than deep links that rot.
On narrower screens the detail panel covers the right of the grid; closing it returns you to your place.
The directory is a map, not a ranking. Presence here does not mean an approach works; absence does not mean it does not exist.
Sources
Research basis includes UN PRI, GIIN, Convergence, OECD blended-finance reporting, IFC Operating Principles, ICMA bond principles, TNFD, Impact Management Project / Impact Frontiers, and jurisdiction-specific Indigenous capital statutes. Practice notes and family explainers are desk writing that sits on top of those sources.
Further study links inside each drawer point at the institution, not at a specific report URL.
